Joanne is a postdoctoral therapist at MiraCare, adept in delivering therapy services in both Spanish and English across various healthcare settings, including pediatric and general hospital environments, as well as inpatient and outpatient services tailored for children and adolescents. She is skilled in conducting psychological assessments and therapy, catering to a diverse range of backgrounds and symptoms. Joanne integrates a humanistic approach in her sessions, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and adapting her methods to meet the unique needs of each individual, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity (LGBTQIA+). Her profound dedication lies in specializing in child and adolescent psychology, alongside integrated co-parenting services. Guiding and supporting young minds through their specific challenges and developmental phases is a passion deeply resonant with her, as observing their growth, resilience, and positive transformations brings her immense satisfaction and motivates her ongoing commitment to making a meaningful impact in their lives.
During her free time, Joanne enjoys taking her adopted dog, Mila, for walks. In addition, she enjoys physical activity such as Pilates, running, yoga and CrossFit.
