Khrista is a Doctoral Intern conducting outpatient therapy services at MiraCare. She is in the final year of her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Eastern Kentucky University. She considers herself to be a generalist and has a broad range of experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and adults with diverse clinical concerns including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and intellectual disability to name a few. She has worked with people across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including outpatient settings, college counseling centers, and intermediate care facilities. She utilizes a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy that integrates a variety of treatment modalities to best match each person’s individual needs, emphasizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and client-centered approaches. Khrista aims to provide her patients with the skills and knowledge they need to survive their current situation and thrive when they come out the other end.
In her free time, Khrista loves to spend quality time with her partner, two cats, Pepper & Toph, and her dog, Aiden. In addition, she enjoys playing video games, reading, creative writing, and watching anime.
