Natalie is a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Intern at MiraCare. She began her internship in August 2021 and has been practicing as a doctoral-level clinician since 2018. Her previous experience primarily consists of providing neuropsychological and psychological evaluations across the lifespan, specifically testing for neurodevelopmental disorders, ADHD, and Autism. She also has experience providing therapy to adolescents and young adults. She primarily utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach but also integrates other theoretical models such as Psychodynamic Theory, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. She believes that it is important to tailor treatment to the individual to ensure that they receive the best treatment possible. She also believes that through a safe and dedicated space, changes can be made in the individual’s life. Fundamentally, she works through a neuroplasticity lens which indicates that our brains can create new connections in response to learning new things, new experiences, and changes in the environment. Simply stated, through positive experiences, individuals can re-wire their brains to enhance their lives.
