Dr. Patrick Kaulen has been with the practice since 2017. He has experience as an individual, family, and group therapy practitioner in working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations presenting with a wide range of concerns. For children, he specializes in play and sand-tray therapy alongside integrated co-parenting services. For adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations, he primarily utilizes insight-oriented dynamic treatment with skill-building components to optimize daily and long-term psychological health. Dr. Kaulen’s history involves working in various settings including hospitals, neuropsychology testing clinics, and in private practice. More generally, his philosophies on psychotherapy are informed by attachment principles that aim to reorient and grow skills in communication, self-care, and personally derived insight.
Roles at the practice: Dr. Kaulen is one of two Clinical Directors of Therapeutic Programming for the MiraCare Acute Care Center. He is also a clinical psychologist at the practice and sees patients Monday – Friday.
