Dr. Lily Nelson provides therapy and neuropsychological assessment services at MiraCare. Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Nelson has provided therapy and psychological assessment to children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings. Dr. Nelson utilizes a holistic therapeutic approach influenced by psychodynamics, attachment theory, and dialectics to create an invaluable treatment plan for helping patients overcome the challenges and stressors life may offer. With a focus on the therapeutic relationship, Dr. Nelson strives for therapy to be a space for attachment to flourish by maintaining a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. She empowers her patients to gain control of their own story through integrating the mind and body, increasing awareness of thoughts and emotions, and building resilience. Her passion for psychological assessment is evident by her integration of diagnostic testing batteries when treating a patient to create a thorough understanding of each individual through an objective neuropsychological lens.

In her free time, Dr. Nelson likes to be outside with nature, play Pokémon Go, attend live music events, cook delicious vegan food, and play in one of her many Dungeons and Dragons campaigns.
