Founded on the belief that the most appropriate care is comprehensive, involves the entire family and is provided by a coordinated team, the MiraCare team includes Board Certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrists; Psychologists, Therapists and other behavioral health professionals. By working together in one collaborative patient focused environment, support therapy is rooted in the MiraCare continuum of care and adults, adolescents and children benefit from a higher level of listening, bridging and sharing.
Christopher Higgins
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Christopher Higgins is the owner of MiraCare Group, a practice currently providing a full range of outpatient and inpatient behavioral health services. Dr. Higgins started MiraCare over twenty years ago to provide children, adolescents, adults and their families, a place where they can receive the best of care all in the same place. He received his doctorate in the first class at the Adler School of Professional Psychology. He then continued his training to become a Diplomate in Adlerian Psychology and in the past was an approved Supervisor in Marriage and Family treatment. As of today, Dr. Higgins has been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist and training other psychologists for over thirty years. He is mostly interested in mentoring other providers and ensuring their quality of patient and self-care and the growth and success of the MiraCare group and all of its patients.
Dr. Higgins is (or has been) a board member on numerous national and local not for profit organizations. He lives locally with his wife and has 3 grown daughters. He is a strong golf enthusiast.
