Master’s Degree: Clinical Psychology, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Bachelor’s Degree: Psychology, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Lainey began her doctoral internship at MiraCare in August 2023 and decided to extend her professional journey by pursuing post-doctoral training at the same institution. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where she specialized in child therapy while embracing the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages.

With a strong focus on therapy for children and families, Lainey employs both play and talk therapy techniques to promote emotional expression, enhance communication skills, and facilitate effective problem-solving. Recognizing play as a child’s natural mode of communication, she fosters a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, personal growth, and self-discovery. Additionally, she provides support to families as they navigate complex emotions, refine social skills, and cultivate autonomy within their relationships.

Lainey’s clinical interests are broad yet focused, encompassing psychological flexibility, values-based therapeutic work, and the development of coping strategies tailored to address issues such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and interpersonal challenges. She frequently incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her practice, guiding clients in taking actionable steps towards achieving meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

Outside of her professional commitments, Lainey cherishes her leisure time, engaging in activities such as Zumba, cooking delicious meals, swimming, and creating memorable moments with her fiancé, loved ones, and her playful puppy, Maggie. Through her multifaceted interests and dedication to her work, Lainey continues to enrich the lives of those she serves while nurturing her own well-being.
