Raquel is a Doctoral Intern conducting therapy and limited assessment services across the lifespan. She is in the final year of her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Roosevelt University. Raquel has worked with people across the lifespan in various settings, including hospitals, community mental health centers, and outpatient settings. She also has experience working with individuals with intersectional identities, immigrants, those on the Autism Spectrum, couples, and the LGBTQ+ population. Raquel provides a therapeutic space filled with empathy, understanding, warmth, and authenticity. Raquel uses an integrative theoretical approach to treatment, drawing from Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic theory, and a Multicultural framework. Raquel is dedicated to integrating a variety of treatment modalities to suit each client’s unique needs. Raquel is committed to providing a warm, emotionally safe, and supportive environment where clients can explore their identities, their relationships, and their worldviews.
In her free time, Raquel loves going to pop and EDM concerts, cuddling with her dog Sandwich, practicing hot yoga, traveling, reading, watching reality TV, and relaxing by the water.
