Rawan is a Doctoral Intern conducting therapy and assessment services at MiraCare. She is currently in the final year of her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Adler University. Rawan has worked with people across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including outpatient settings and hospital settings including ER, IP, IOP and PHP programs. She also has experience conducting psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults with various backgrounds and presenting symptoms. Although she considers herself a generalist, she has particular interest in the treatment of anxiety and stress, trauma(s) and/or traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and mood disorders. In therapy, Rawan uses an integrative lens to meet each individual where they are at and caters to the unique needs and circumstances of the individual. She often draws from cognitive-behavioral (addressing our thoughts, feelings, and actions) and relational (how we interact and communicate with others) techniques, among others. Rawan believes that people will share the areas they need help, guidance, and growth with, and with the guidance of the individual, she places the puzzle pieces together to help patients make sense of their environment and empower them to live a full and meaningful life.

In her free time, Rawan loves to spend quality time with her partner, children, friends, and family. In addition, she enjoys podcasts, live events such as concerts and comedy shows, great food, and cooking for people.
